Today I tried to put import all my content into the unity game engine, I plan to make a simple game that involves moving the lamp around the ikea store, Here are some screenshots:

Audio
I had a little bit of time left so I decided to make a really quick audio loop using garageband for the scene, heres a screenshot from the track in garageband.
Slideshow in Flash
Today to demonstrate that I can use flash I put together a quick slideshow of a few frames of my animation sequence.

Completed rendering and started editing
Today I completed the rendering, the render itself took 37 hours! I am very happy with the results. There where some issues with a few of the materials flickering during the render, however I don't have enough time to go back and re-render the frames, so I'll just keep it as it is.
Following the render I imported the rendered IFF files into after effects then exported the video in a blu-ray codec:

I then put the video file into Final Cut Pro for editing and I lengthened some of the sections. I originally planned to add some audio but I don't think I will have enough time to now.

Animating!
Today I started animating the lamp, Im pretty happy with the way its going, I have decided to only use the far corner of the building for the animation as I don't feel I will have enough time to do anything more than that, and since the assignment only requires 10 seconds of footage I feel I have done more than enough.
I decided to render my scene in full HD 1080P at production quality in near top settings.

First renders
Today I tried rendering a few frames from my scene, I have decided to render my scene in 1080p HD resolution (1920x1080), I plan to maintain this resolution for the final renders, I have attached a few draft renders, these should be enough for now!

Lighting the environment
Following the previous blog entry I have decided to go with a subtle peachy tone for the environment, I think this works really nicely, Here are are two shots of the lights positioned and turned on.

Lighting Units
Today I worked on a lighting unit model, heres what I came up with:
Another old texture from my texture library, originally taken from a scanned sheet of metal with various duplication overlays, opacity changes and brushes applied.
A simple but effective phong material with a peachy tone, set to glow in the materials properties
The final result gives a very warm looking light, I plan to light the entire store with this colour.

Pallet Model
Tonight I worked on a pallet model for my shop environment, Since the scene is set at night time I figured there would be plenty of pallets throughout the store to replenish stock sold during the day time, I thought it was important to model a pallet model, heres what I come up with:
I re-used the previous texture for the item props as I felt it worked pretty well for a pallet texture.
