This week I continued to work on assets for the shop environment, In order to get the hang of UV mapping in Maya, I decided to start texturing the basic vent model that I made last week, I produced my own texture using Photoshop and applied the texture to each pane of the UV map, I applied a dark inner glow to each pane to give the model a nice effect. I applied the UV texture to a lambert material in the maya hypershader.
Above: the original texture that I made in photohop.
Above: The texture applied to each pane of the model on the UV map, Dark inner glow applied.
The above is the UV map applied to a file linked to a lambert in the hypershader.
Above: the final textured model.
